Expression tells the story of a young girl discovering journals her mother left behind to help guide her through life. As she's gaining this new item she is also experiencing difficulities within her relationship. Is the journal worth gaining but her relationship worth losing?
The film was created as a part of a 25 Day Film Festival at Playhouse West Acting Studio. The theme for the film festival was Lost and Found. The filmmakers were given the opportunity to tell a story where something or someone could either be lost, found, or both. Three important factors needed to be present within the film; Story Element: Holiday or Season, Cinematic Element: Weather, and Acting Element: A Non-Verbal Scene. The film could only be between 5-6 minutes.
